Transportation to The Messe Berlin (Messegelände Berlin)

Fast local transport connections surround the fairgrounds. Because there are separate routes for automobile, bus and train traffic - as well as three different entrances to the fairgrounds themselves - all arrivals are swift, comfortable and stress free. Traffic jams are minimized by separating vehicles carrying visitors to the fair from normal daily neighborhood traffic. There are plenty of parking spaces as well as bus stops and taxi stand near each entrance.
The Messe Berlin Can Be Reached Easily By:
By Plane: Germany's capital city can be reached directly via national and international air routes. Berlin will open a new International Airport on June 3, 2012 (Projected) which will be called Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER). Tempelhoff Airport was closed in 2008 and Berlin-Schonefeld Airport and Berlin-Tegel (TXL) will close when the new airport opens. It will take about 35 minutes by taxi from Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) to the city center and the Messe Berlin depending on traffic. Public and International trains run directly from the airport terminals across Europe, to the city and Messe Berlin.
By Bus: Berlin is served by 23-30 bus lines with a number of destinations in Germany and the rest of Europe. Arrivals and departures: Zentraler Omnibus Bahnhof, and ZOB (Central Bus Station) near the Funkturm (Broadcasting Tower).
South Entrance or the Deutschland Hall Entrance are the closest to the Exhibition Halls.
S-Bahn (city) trains Line 5 and Line 75 have a stop "Messe Süd" directly at the South Entrance. Central bus station (Busbahnhof) nearby is serving domestic and international bus lines.
By Train: Berlin can be reached by train from all directions. The principal train stations are Berlin Zoologischer Garten, Berlin-Friedrichstrasse and Berlin Hauptbahnhof.
By Car: The Messe Berlin is at the intersection of Autobahns 115 and 100. It is very well signposted - take either the Messedamm - Nord or Messedamm-Süd exits. Look for signs to the ICC also. Parking is excellent. Parking is available directly outside of the Exhibition halls. Halls 1.1, 1.2, 2.1 and 2.2 are on the South side of the Fairgrounds. The landmark to look for is the very tall Funkturm Radio Tower and the Deutschland Hall.
