On the Pulse of Emobility: Speaker Highlights at EV Momentum

New three-day summit features inspiring presentations from industry and start-ups along the EV supply chain.

Individual solutions play an important role in this fast-evolving market and I am pleased to see that EV Momentum takes a view beyond the horizon and reflects these dynamic trends in its conference programme.

London, UK –  June 5, 2018 – Ascential plc (LSE: ASCL.L), the global, specialist information company, today announced that EV Momentum, the brand-new e-mobility conference taking place in Berlin, June 19-21, will feature top-class speakers of renowned companies, research institutes, and innovative start-ups with inspiring presentations on the latest developments and perspectives in the EV eco-system.

The launch of EV Momentum as well as the EV & HEV Trail underlines the continued commitment to the automotive sector. CWIEME is a key event for the automotive industry, having helped to build the supply chain to manufacture electric drives for over ten years. Reaching out to EV manufacturers and suppliers, EV Momentum focusses on e-mobility and powertrain technologies for electric and hybrid drive applications. EV Momentum, which is free to attend, is co-located with the CWIEME and will take place from June 19-21.

Putting EV industry in the fast lane

The development of electric vehicles is a challenging task bringing up many questions for manufacturers, suppliers, and decision makers along the entire automotive supply chain. Offering a comprehensive programme with more than 40 presentations from industry and research, in addition to workshops and specialised sessions, EV Momentum provides an ideal platform for the EV eco-system to find answers to these questions and get “in the e-mobility fast lane”. The agenda offers an exciting mixture of technology topics such as powertrain design, advances in battery technology, and energy storage material selection, along with business questions such as regulations and the co-operations with start-ups. Conference participants from all industries can look forward to finding new solutions for EV’s disruption to the automotive supply chain, connect with experts in the automotive and wider e-transportation manufacturing supply chain industry and discuss the future of e-mobility at a high professional level.

“The EV & HEV market has been changing rapidly in recent years and the future of e-mobility very much depends on the ability to find new, individual solutions and economic manufacturing concepts right from the concept phase,” said Kai D. Kreisköther, Executive Chief Engineer, Chair of Production Engineering of E-Mobility Components, (PEM) of the RWTH Aachen University. “Individual solutions play an important role in this fast-evolving market and I am pleased to see that EV Momentum takes a view beyond the horizon and reflects these dynamic trends in its conference programme."

“I am excited to present at the EV Momentum, as this new event offers a perfect opportunity to discuss the trends and technologies that are shaping the future of e-mobility,” said Frank Muehlon, Managing Director, Global Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure, ABB. “While charging infrastructure is one of the most important factors for EV development, many issues depend very much on the EV framework provided by automotive manufacturers and OEMs. This is why bringing all parties together at the EV Momentum is so valuable.”

This new event offers a perfect opportunity to discuss the trends and technologies that are shaping the future of e-mobility.

Being co-located with CWIEME, participants of EV Momentum will also have the opportunity to attend the CWIEME trade show, in particular to follow the EV & HEV trail with exhibitors showcasing their latest cutting-edge technology.

“We are pleased to announce that the EV & HEV Trail has over a hundred participants and has already attracted many e-automotive engineers and procurement professionals, who have already registered to attend,” said Tom Noja, Strategic Marketing and Product Director at Ascential. “Next year, even more CWIEME relevant EV exhibitors are expected to join us in our additional hall”
